Mental health is a lot more than the absence of illness.

Source: World Health Organization, 2023, https://www.who.int/teams/mental-health-and-substance-use/world-mental-health-report

— Mental health is a lot more than the absence of illness: it is an intrinsic part of our individual and collective health and well-being.

— We need to transform our attitudes, actions and approaches to promote and protect mental health, and to provide and care for those in need.

— We must intensify our collaborative action to integrate mental health into primary health care. In so doing,

— we will reduce suffering, preserve people’s dignity

— and advance the development of our communities and societies.

— Our vision is a world where mental health is valued, promoted and protected; where mental health conditions are prevented;

— where everyone can participate fully in a society free from stigma and discrimination.

THE SOLUTION:
Meditation and Mindfulness
&
They go hand in hand.

Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness and meditation are a way of paying attention to the present moment, using techniques like meditation, breathing, the art of consciousness, and yoga.

Researchers have found mindfulness and meditation practices to be powerful tools for mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

It helps us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings so that, instead of being overwhelmed by them, we're better able to manage them.

Whilst we can practice being mindful literally everywhere, at any time - with diverse techniques,
meditation - in my opinion - goes further, and dives deeper - and it is: more intentional, more focused, and a whole practice in itself.

However, at the same time, I don’t see any separation.

The benefits are broad and they are science-backed by decades of research:

  1. Stress reduction

  2. Balancing overall (mental) health

  3. Increases your focus

  4. Burnout prevention & recovery.

  5. Decreases your emotional reactivity

  6. Helps people reach their full potential

  7. Helps manage anxiety or depression.

… just to name a few aspects.

And to give you a different insight today to what meditation and mindfulness can do for you!

Important note

Mindfulness and meditation are great tools for anyone, but it isn’t a substitute for professional health care. There may be situations and conditions where meditation and mindfulness are not enough. If you need additional treatment, please consider reaching out to a mental health professional or seeking medical advice.

Whatever you may be experiencing these days, you don’t have to walk this path alone. Join my meditative and mindful tribe of intuitives, seekers, creatives, creative entrepreneurs, and people just like you and me.
